I hope you are all well!
Today I am going to be doing a mini review/routine kinda blog about my foundation and powder routine. It is juts going to be a mish mash of both things really. Lets get to it!
The foundation I use is the Max Factor Face Finity 3 in 1 Foundation in the shade 45 Warm Almond and I use the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed in 006 Warm Beige. Firstly I apply my regular Nivea cream over my face as it is nourishing on the dry skin patches that are on my face during winter. Once that has dried using my Eco Tools sponge brush I apply the foundation with one coat. Sometimes if I am having a really bad skin day then I will put a dab of concealer on but generally I don’t need that extra protection. Now with this foundation, because it is a matte based solution, powder is optional, however I still like to use some to make sure I have no shiny spots. With my Rimmel Stay Matte powder I use my Real Technique brush and just buff it over my face, I feel like this also smooths out any stray brush marks I have left by accident.
The Max Factor Foundation, in my opinion is really good. I have been using it for a couple of years and I would doubt I could find a better foundation for my skin, hence why I have stuck to it. It does what it does, and therefore has a very full coverage without it looking too cakey. The only negative I would say it that because it is a matte foundation then it can be quite drying on the skin but if you use a primer before applying the foundation then it should be fine. But as for the powder, OMG it is amazing, a little bit goes a long way so is very long lasting. It mattes down the shiny spots without making the skin look too powdery and it is soft on the skin. I would recommend both and they both come with a variety of different shades.
I hope this has been enjoyable and helpful.
