First Impressions: NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream – Abu Dhabi and Morocco

Hello everyone,

Sorry this blog has been later than usual, I have been out for a meal to celebrate my Dad’s birthday. It was lush but now I feel so full! Anyway, today my very exciting package came! I ordered two NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams off Boots. I have seen them around and heard about them; I had also been looking for matte lip gloss’ so this seemed the perfect product. So I tried hem both and I am going to tell you my initial thoughts on them. I got the nude shade Abu Dhabi and Morocco. I am impressed with the nude shade as my lips are naturally quite pink so this came out very well, however with Morocco it was more red, and I hoped it was a bright orange shade, however I still love it. The packaging is sleek but nothing too fancy, but it is perfect handbag size. They are very pigmented liquid lipsticks and it only takes one coat without t looking streaky with is very good. For my Dad’s meal, I wore out the Abu Dhabi one, it is easy to apply, with the foam foot, however the constancy is rather thick. This does look lovely against the lips and I suppose helps get the best coverage in one application, however you can feel how thick it is. It dries into the matte lip colour quickly however it does feel sticky on the lips. It does have long lasting qualities as it never came off on my wine glass and it is still visible after a three course meal of munch and chomping! I didn’t wear a lip liner underneath it so I am very impressed it lasted that long. i do love this though because it is such a gorgeous look for the lip and gives the best result. I have tried a few matte liquid lipsticks and I have to say this is by far the best.

Have you got this? If so what colour?
