How is it July? How is it already more than half way to Christmas? How am I already doing another favourites post? So I have picked a few products I have been loving as per usual and I’m going to tell you something about them as to why you should consider purchasing them. As you can see I have chosen quite a few products from MAC. I haven’t done this on purpose, I just have gained a few Mac products over the last month which I have tried and liked.
Firstly I have picked the Mac False Lashes Mascara in Extra Black. My all time favourite mascara by BarryM sadly discontinued and it has now ran out so after receiving this from my aunt I gave it ago and loved it. I feel like it may even be slightly better than the BarryM one I loved. I prefer brushes that are straight, with no bends in to ‘make it easier to apply’ so this is perfect. It has a slightly wetter consistency which makes it less clumpy on the lashes but throughout the day it doesn’t rub off on the top of your eyes or underneath which is amazing!
The Mac Prep + Prime Moisture Infusion is also a must have. I have never really used a proper primer, instead I would just use a moisturizer. But oh my word the difference with using this is amazing! It makes my foundation much easier to apply as my skin is prepped and evened. It also makes your makeup last a lot longer. The base of it is a moisturizer so is still really good for your skin, and I love the glittery bottle. However it is quite pricey, so I have been trying to use it in small quantities. You only need a little to go a long way with this product. It is also more watery and not thick, which I love as it doesn’t feel heavy.
The last two things from Mac are the matte lipstick in Velvet Teddy and the lip liner in Soar. I bought these for my prom. I went into my local Mac store and with the help of the lovely assistant I chose these two as a combination. It gives a nude lip but the lip liner creates a pink under tone. It is the perfect dupe for the Kylie Jenner Lip Kit if you can’t get that. It is long lasting and is good for a day look or a night look. If you want to see what it looks like on, click here to go to the post about my prom as I am wearing it in those photos.
Non Mac products (sorry!) include the MUA Undress Your Skin in Iridescent Gold. This is super SUPER cheap highlighter and oh my god it is amazing! It is very pigmented, easy to apply and you would expect it to be worth much more than it is. I love the way it is ‘molded’ into the container, as it makes it seem much more high end.
I recently felt like I needed a new pressed powder as my old one wasn’t really doing much for my overall look, so I got the Bobbi Brown Sheer Finished Pressed Powder. This is so so good! It honestly doesn’t need a lot of product on the brush to make your skin matte, silky but not powdery or cakey. However I won’t go on too much because I have recently done a review which you can find here.
Finally is the Happiness Planner. I got this a few months ago and it started in July, and as it is now July I can now start filling it in. It is so handy as I can keep track of when/what blog posts I will upload, what I have eaten, exercise I have done and it will hopefully make a difference on my outlook of day to day life. I have previously done a blog post on this so you can read that here (sorry for the over use of self promoting).
