I don’t know about you, but I find these type of blog post very interesting. Just seeing what people have on their bedside table I feel gives a real insight to another persons life. Whether that it is empty biscuit wrappers (I am extremely guilty for that) or bags of sweets in preparation or left over from those cosy nights in, in front of a film. Often its not beauty bits and it could be that amazing book that gets you gripped from beginning to end. What sits next to my bed varies from day to day, whether its empty bottles of water, nail varnish bottles or headphones. But most of the time my skin care routine is sat next to my bedside because it reminds me to use it. If I leave it in my bathroom I usually just brush my teeth and forget about it. However when I actually carry out my evening skin care routine it makes me feel nice and relaxed and especially not guilty for forgetting it. What I do have is a mixture of items, but I don’t use all of them all the time. If I am having a bad skin day then I will use the Clinique Liquid Facial Soap, however I tend to use it as a moisturiser. this serum is very light on the skin which I prefer if my skin is a little more covered in spots. If your having a bad skin day, the last this you need is to be blocking your pores with thicker and heavier serums. Alongside the Clinique product I use the Mac Prep + Prime. Even though this is a product you tend to use before applying your makeup, as it is really light I find it perfect for when I have bad skin as well to apply after the Clinique Facial Soap. It dries really quickly too so your not left waiting with a sticky face to dry. If I am having a better skin day I will use the Cien Q10 Day and Night Creams. Yes they are anti ageing and no at my age I don’t need to but they are super cheap from Lidl and have the quality of a £50 product. They are thick serums but they make your skin feel very soft and nourished. They don’t have a scent, which to be honest I would prefer if they did but when your only paying little for each one you can’t complain. Lastly for the rest of my body, I use the Zoella Beauty Hungry Hands Hand Cream which I am in love with and the Temple Spa Face and Body Balm. I won’t go into too much detail with the gingerbread hand cream because I have just done a blog post on it. The other Body and Face Balm is really good for slapping on just after you hop out the bath.

I do have other skin care products that are also part of my skincare routine but I keep the tucked away in my drawers and bathroom. I also always keep a candle on my bedside table so I can have it glowing whilst I’m reading at night and it makes my room smell lovely, at the moment I am burning a Ginger and Spice candle. Let me know what you have on your bedside table, and you can always snap a picture of it and table me in it on Instagram @emilyclarebeauty … Least then I will know I’m not the only one with a messy bedside table!
