I was looking though all my old blogs and was super surprised that I have never blogged about what makeup I wear everyday. I don’t actually wear too much makeup everyday as I do have school, which limits me massively. Now I am in sixth form I can actually wear what makeup I want but as it is school I don’t want to go over the top. It is more of a subtle makeup look that looks natural.
I use the L’Oreal True Match Foundation because I have ran out of my Clinique one. It is a matte based foundation and give light to medium coverage. I blends out well, however I find the pump to be unusual as it makes you pump out too much or too little foundation. I am being picky but I do like this foundation when I want something a little lighter on my skin. I use the Collection Concealer for my highlighting and to conceal any blemishes but I want go into much detail as I did a whole blog post on it yesterday which you can read here. For these two products I use the Elle beauty blender that I picked up when I was in France. I can’t find it online so I have linked in a similar Real Techniques one. I prefer a beauty sponge to a brush because it doesn’t leave brush marks or it doesn’t malt on your face.
For my powder I use the amazing Bobbi Brown Powder. This is an amazing powder as it makes your skin nice and matte but doesn’t seem powdery on the skin. I have gone through it rather quickly as I am now running out but I will definitely buy it again. For my powder I use the Real Technique Buffing Brush from their Core Collection. The Core Collection has four essential makeup brushes in, all of which are really good quality. So if your new to makeup I would HIGHLY recommend these.
I find that my makeup look is not complete without filling in my eyebrows and even if I go out without makeup on I will still ‘have my eyebrows on’. However I am really picky with how I fill in my eyebrows but I really like using the Freedom pomade. It allows me to outline my eyebrows and fill the in really accurately also allowing me to get that perfect ombre in the middle. For my brows I don’t actually use a eyebrow brush, but I use the Bobbi Brown Eyeliner Brush. It is smaller so I can easily apply the pomade with more precision.
For my eyes, the only thing that I use is my favourite Mac mascara. I know I have already hit you with the self promo, but once again I have already done a blog post on this so to save time and for a better description you can check it out here.
If you would like a more ‘dressed up’ makeup look that I tend to wear on weekends then let me know in the comments.
