• How I Stay Organised

I would like to say and think that I am fairly organised, because I know if I wasn’t then I would have a break down and panic about everything! I get all my school work done on time, I am rarely late for anything and I like to make note of everything and anything. I have a few tips that I used to keep myself organised but sometimes it is a personal thing. Every body like to use different techniques based on their personal preference.
One: Lists Lists Lists! I love to make lists on anything. Whether it is what I need to do that day, birthday presents, blogmas or a shopping list, I find it so much easier to write my thoughts down rather than just bundling them all in my brain and then forgetting something. I find that making lists really clears my head and I always feel so much better for making them. I have many books and notebooks which I make lists in.
Two: Keep A Planner With You! You might know if you have been reading my blogs for a while that I am lucky enough to own a Happiness Planner. I use this to write down my schedule for the day, any random notes, what I am looking forward to tomorrow and it helps me keep track of each day. Obviously you don’t need this specific planner (I do highly recommend it though!) and you can use any planner or diary, but it is also a good thing to keep to look back on in the future. If your thinking ‘I can’t keep a diary’ or have tried before and failed then I have a good way of remembering how to fill it in each day. If you place it by your bed, then you can fill it in each night before you go to sleep and when you jump into bed you will see it and remember to fill it in!
Three: Make Your Bed When You Wake Up! Talking about beds, it is proven that if you leave your bed messy without making it in the morning, then it is a sign of a disorganized life. I, out of habit, make my bed every morning and I always think my room looks so much more presentable and neat. If you make your bed in the morning, you will find yourself feeling better about your day. And it only takes two seconds to do it!
Four: Set Deadlines For Yourself! I always do this without even noticing! If I am getting ready for school I will say to myself ‘I have to have breakfast by 7:45’ or ‘I need to do my makeup by 8:20’ or if I am doing homework I will set a time which I have to have it done by. This naturally happens for me but if you haven’t tried this then I recommend this. It makes me feel like that task has to be done and then I will have time left to watch TV etc.
Five: Set Alarms! I don’t actually do this but I know some people will set alarms when they should finish a task. For example they will have an alarm to wake up, when to have breakfast, when to have a shower.. and like before it keeps you in your deadlines and you won’t be rushing around because you have run out of time.
I hope these small tips have helped!
If you have any tips for organisation then leave them in the comments!

A planner is essential! I don’t know what I’d do without mine. I make so many lists in it. And so true about making your bed, I’ve just started doing it every day and it makes me so much happier.

I loved this post so much. In the past I would think of myslef as an organised person, but sadly, the time has changed and I have become one heck of a unorganised mess. But his post gave me some inspiration and ideas, so thank you for sharing. xxx

I definitely need to put these into practice more. I’ve gone both ways and I’m always so much happier when I’m organized. Thanks!
