Winter Hair Care Routine

“All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth…”

I am always changing my mind on what shampoo and conditioner I use, simply because I have never found a shampoo that I like to stick to. I have tried many different shampoos and conditioners that worked really well but I wasn’t getting that shine or silky soft feeling that I wanted.

When I got my hair dyed last year and over the summer I would use the Aussie shampoo and conditioner. After I got it dyed my hair was so dry and over the summer it got dry again because the hot weather and the chlorine on holiday damaged it. However now it is winter I don’t need it and the Aussie shampoo isn’t needed, plus it is a little more expensive than the usual shampoo and conditioner.

I have tried Dove, Tresemme and many other but at the moment I am loving the L’Oreal Paris Elvive Nutri-Gloss Shampoo and Conditioner. I just got it one day shopping because I am not going to lie I liked the packaging and hoped for the best. I am glad I edged my bet though because I am loving this shampoo and conditioner!

At the moment having shiny hair is the trend because you see those Facebook videos titled things like ’50 Shades of Shine’ but because of my hair colour my hair is quite dull and has no real natural shine. I was a little skeptical over this shampoo because any shampoo that claims that it is proven to make your hair shiny has never worked for me. Also it is for fine to normal hair and mine is quite thick. However this has really worked for me despite my concerns. I usually was my hair at night before I go to bed and the next morning my hair looks so nice and silky. I also cannot describe how soft my hair feels after I use it.

I wash my hair every two to three days so I go through shampoo and conditioner rather quickly, but fortunately this is really cheap so is easy to replace and it doesn’t break the bank!

My hair is naturally straight, which I know people would love having naturally straight hair as they then don’t have to straighten their hair every day, however I find it rather boring. Although one plus side is that I don’t have to straighten my hair every day is that I don’t have to risk my hair getting damaged by the heat so I don’t use any other products on my hair.

You can find the shampoo here and the conditioner here.

Have you tried this shampoo? If not what shampoo do you use?
