I am a huge lover of my liquid lipsticks and, I am not going to lie, I probably have more than I will ever need. There are so many brands that do different liquid lipsticks and I am a fan of loads, however I have a new favourite that tops them all.
I saw the Jeffree Star Liquid Lipstick in Watermelon Soda when Lauren Curtis did a makeup look with it. Before then I had heard of the brand from other youtubers and bloggers, and I have only just learnt that Jeffree Star himself is a youtuber! It looked amazing on Lauren and I couldn’t resist it, so I put it on my christmas list.
I love the packaging because it is so bold and creative, I haven’t seen many other brands like it. It is also quite a big liquid lipstick, by that I mean it has a larger bottle and has more product in it than some other brands. I am just obsessed with the pink and yellow!
The product itself is so good! The brush isn’t like a normal dough foot applicator because it is narrower at the top meaning it is easier to apply the product as it is better shaped to your lip. With different lipsticks, it sounds crazy, but the smell is really important because I have come across some with a horrible scent and it puts me off wearing them completely. However this smells like watermelon… I don’t know if all of the shades do or just this one because it is called Watermelon Soda, but it smells like what the Wrigely’s Watermelon Chewing Gum tastes like… if you have ever tried that!
I really like the consistency because it isn’t thick on the lips. It is my worst nightmare when liquid lipsticks are thick and they clog up on your lips. However it isn’t too drying. Of course every liquid lipsticks are drying to some extent but this doesn’t show up any cracks or dry lips. The colour is really pigmented so you don’t have to apply more than one coat and it is so long lasting! I wore it for a whole day without reapplying it because I didn’t need to. The colour is like a vibrant coral/hot pink and is a little daring but it is gorgeous.
All the liquid lipsticks are £16.00 (I got mine from Beauty Bay), so definitely on the higher end but you can tell it is really high quality and it is well worth the money. They also have some amazing neutral shades but then your crazy blues, greens and purples so the limit is endless.
You can find it on Beauty Bay here, or on the main website here.
