Embroidered Shoes Are Everything

As you might know if you follow my Twitter (sorry, the self promo was too tempting!), I went shopping today with my friends and even though I have no money left what so ever I had a few vouchers left from Christmas. I haven’t been shopping since the Christmas holidays, which is actually quite rare for me, so I wanted to treat myself just a little bit. I had a look on different shops websites, just so I had a small idea of what I wanted to get. I bought a new foundation and a new concealer, because coincidentally both my concealers and my foundation have ran out at the same time! I swear that always happens and then you have to fork out a load of money!

I also got some new floral embroidered boots from TopShop! And they are gorgeous!! I saw them ages ago when I went shopping with my Mum but they were full price at £42, so I decided not to get them. However today they were only £30 and I couldn’t resist them… I mean look at them! I think it was love at first sight!

I really like them because they are made out of velvet but are padded inside so they keep your feet nice and toasty! But also they aren’t too high of a heel, so will be comfortable for walking long distances like when you go shopping or for around work and school. I also liked them because they match my mustard coat which I got from New Look about a month ago. Going back to my Colour Analysis session, I suit autumnal colours the best so both the coat and the shoes will extenuate my features. I needed some new shoes because I ruined a pair in the rain the other day… honestly I was gutted, but it just meant I had to get some new ones!

Ankle boots, and shoes with embroidery on are really trendy right now, and you can’t go into a shop without seeing at least one pair of embroidered shoes. I know New Look do a variety like chunky heels with red and yellow flowers on, or flat dolly pumps with pink flowers on etc.. you get the idea. They are very 70s influenced, and that is what I love about them. I sometimes wish I was born in the 70s so I could have witnessed the era of the flower power and some of the music.

Flared tops, bold floral designs and embroidery are all making massive comeback! Not just on shoes but also on shops, or jeans as well. They were popular in Autumn however I feel they are also popular now! Walking through Primark, I saw numerous tops with a flared sleeves or floral embroidery on them and TopShop had a stunning pair of black jeans with red and green flowers on them. I like the shoes because they are a statement piece. If you have something like this it is best to plain items of clothing with it to make them draw attention. I know this style is a very Marmite type of style (you either love it or hate it) but it is everywhere. The good thing about ankle boots is that they will be in style every year. I bought some Chelsea boots last year and they came back in fashion this winter too.

I am so glad I bought these boots as I know I will get some much wear out of them!

Do you have any floral embroidered items of clothing?
