What’s In My Makeup Bag?

IMG_2900IMG_2916

I must admit, I don’t carry an awful lot of makeup in my makeup bag, one because I don’t need to carry all of it and two because my bag is always so full of folders and texts books I don’t have the room. I never actually used to carry any makeup with me because I was like, if it comes off oh well. However I do now because I like to just touch up myself if I am looking on the worse side or if I have a dreaded spot brewing! Then when I did start carrying makeup I would just chuck it in the bottom of my bag. However, I cannot stress enough to not do this! There are millions and billions of germs in the bottom of you bag, and I don’t even want to look at the bottom of my bag because I dread what I will find, so it can be really unhygienic. Moral of the story, don’t do it, keep it in a makeup bag.

Before I talk about what is in my makeup bag, I just want to talk about the bag itself. Rock On Ruby contacted me and explained how they have a whole new range of makeup bags coming out and they vv kindly let me pick a design and a colour of a bag and they sent it to me! I love all their designs because they are just so god damn sassy. I picked the resting bitch face one because of course because it just sums up my life. It is the perfect size makeup bag because it is not too big, and just the right size for a handbag or school size. It fits rather nicely in the front pocket of my bag. Like it was made for it! They also set me the cute post card with an adorable motivational quote. I was amazed because they personalized it for me, which I didn’t know they were going to do this, so when I opened it up on my Instagram story, I squealed like a little girl.

Firstly, I always keep a powder and a powder brush in my makeup bag and this is a must for me! I don’t normally keep my Bobbi Brown one in it because that is too precious to risk it smashing in their, however I finished the Rimmel one I usually keep in it. I always start going shiny throughout the day and in reality who doesn’t? I don’t know what I would do without powder on hand through out the day.

I also keep concealer in my bag usually, and I don’t know why I didn’t include it in the photo. Whether I need to touch up my dreaded under eye bags, or to cover a pesky spot that has grown, I usually use the Collection Lasting Perfection one. I will normally just apply it and then blend it in with a clean finger because who’s got time for brushes when your on the go? Not me!

Lip wise, I will have a nude lipstick in my makeup bag majority of the time. I really dislike not wearing lipstick when I have a full face of makeup on because to me it just looks odd. Does anyone else feel like this? As Mac Velvet Teddy is my all time favvvv it is no surprise that this is normally in here, and that reminds me I need a new one because mine is running out.

Finally, I keep a mascara and eyelash curler to hand. I don’t always take a full-sized mascara with me because it can be quite spacious. I have loads of those mini Mac mascara samples so I normally grab a handful and put them in there. I have also just started using my eyelash curlers again. I stopped in fear it would rip my eyelashes out from seeing a video on Facebook, however I am just going to take the risk. No pain no gain?!

I would like to thank Rock On Ruby again for sending me this amazing makeup bag and you can see their full and extensive range here.

  1. Love that resting bitch face bag! Aha. I’d literally only have lipstick, mascara, and eyebrow gel in mine that’s all I ever wear when I do decide to put anything on lol. But I’ve put lipstick in my purse before, I agree- don’t do it! The top would come off and rub all around the inside, 😑
