Who is loving the four day weekend already?! I actually have work tomorrow morning, however its only for a few hours so I am still counting it as a long weekend. It is also Easter weekend this weekend. My family isn’t very religious but my mum will cook up a big roast on Sunday and today we have done ‘The Good Friday Walk’. This is basically a 10 mile coastal walk where I live and we do it every year. I didn’t do it all this year and I went from about half way-ish because I cherish my sleep (If you start from the beginning it is a 6 am wake up and I am not a fan of that!). I will leave a link here for you to check out my blog post on it from last year if you want to do so.
At Easter everyone has different traditions. When I was younger I remember doing an Easter Egg hunt in my friend Charlotte’s garden and I remember my grandparents would get me a Marks and Spencer chocolate animal. However it is also nice to receive a few little bits and bobs when you are older so I collected a few Easter themed bits which were all under £10. I wanted to keep it to a maximum of £10 to keep the gifts the same price as some Easter eggs would be.
But of course I had to put a bit of chocolate in it because what would Easter be without chocolate?! This is ‘The Caught On The Hop Slab’ from Hotel Chocolat and it is so cute! I know for a fact this wouldn’t last in my house for very long but it would be so good as a little gift for your friends or for someone is looking for something that is a bit different than the normal Easter Egg. Surprisingly I haven’t got an Easter Egg yet, however I am sure I will get my hands on one this weekend. Here are some non-chocolatey gift ideas:
How are you spending your Easter?
