Benefit Roller Lash First Impression

One of my best friend’s Rosie got a benefit package for her eyebrows this week and it came with the mini version of the Benefit mascara Roller Lash and she gave it to me. Thank you Rosie! When I went to Prom last year, (how is Prom nearly a year ago?!) the person who did my makeup for me used the Benefit Roller Lash and I was intrigued at one; how well it lasted and two; the whole concept she did of rolling it on and twisting the brush. I am not going to lie it did terrify me a little bit however it made my lashes look really good. But I couldn’t bring myself to part with £19 for a mascara.

However benefit do a smaller sized travel version of it for only £10.50. It is such a cute size to put in your handbag and the actual wand is still the same length so it doesn’t affect your application. I have been wearing it today to give it a test, and I already really like it. I actually love the new packaging for it. The bigger one and the older one was bigger and this is pretty and pink but small and contained.

The consistency isn’t too thick so it doesn’t make your lashes feel heavy or look clumpy, it gives a very natural look. I couldn’t get over how curled it made my lashes though! It was insane! I never normally use an eyelash curler because I get scared it will rip my eyelashes off, however if you do you wouldn’t need to use it with this mascara!

I was also impressed with how easily it managed to come off. Alongside my eyebrow pomade, I find mascara really hard to get off and I find myself with a makeup wipe just trying to rub it of for ages! However this does come off really easily. It claims that it is water-resistant too, however I wore it when I got drenched walking back from an exam and it did start to smudge so I wouldn’t say it is very water resistant.

The one thing I would say is that I prefer straight mascara wands as I find them easier to use, and this one is slightly curved however it has a Hook and Grab aspect which means it grabs your lashes to maximize application. It seems a little bit complicated but I believe it works.

I am actually tempted to get the full version because I think it is a really good mascara, even though it is quite expensive if you have the money it is worth it.

You can find the Mini Travel Sized Roller Lash Curling Mascara here.

  1. I haven’t tried this yet as I tend to stick to drug store mascaras but I know so many people have raved about it so I might be tempted to pick this up next time I’m in Benefit getting my eyebrows done.

  2. Those little travel sized versions of luxury products are so amazing! You get the fun of using expensive stuff without the high prices! This sounds like a pretty good mascara, especially since it comes off easy when you’re done wearing it!

  3. My friend gave me the travel size of this and I really like it! I think it is very similar to the Maybelline Lash Sensational which is way cheaper so I probably won’t be purchasing the full size. Still a great product though!
