• My Go-To Summer Jewellery

Although it hasn’t been much like summer today, it has actually been quite the opposite with heavy misty rain – the type that gets you SOAKING. However nonetheless in England it is ‘Summer’ and to be honest we have had some pretty decent days weather wise and when the sun comes out it is BEAUT. As you might know, I am getting into wearing jewellery a lot more often than I used to do and I have realised that like clothing, jewellery can be very seasonal. For example, in Autumn copper or rose gold jewellery looks stunning as the colour is similar to all the leaves falling off the trees and it just looks RIGHT. Do you get me??
So I have been trying to pick out bits of jewellery that will suit the summer season but I must say summer is hard! I would say that my go to jewellery items are silver because I have a fair few silver bits and bobs and they all tie in nicely together, however I also feel that gold is perfect for summer. This is because it ties in nicely with golden summer tans and going to the beach and going to festivals and being covered in gold glitter etc… However all of my gold pieces, like my ring, are cheap and can turn my fingers green if I wear them too long… EW I KNOW. So I tend to stay clear of them….
Some of my go to summer jewellery pieces have been rings. This is because I am almost a bit of a ring addict and I feel really lost when I don’t wear my ‘usual rings’. By that I mean I stick to my faves and don’t switch it up, and YES I KNOW I SHOULD but they are small and waterproof so if I forget to take them off in the sea its okay. In the photo you can see my gorgeous Wish Bone Ring from Libby May and my stunning pandora ring which I got for my birthday.
Also something that I have been obsessed with already this summer is the Libby May Knot Bangle. If you didn’t already know I am in fact a brand ambassador for Heidi & Co which is a company with three labels, Libby May, Evy B. and Smeidi. Each has stunning unique jewellery and when you buy an item from any of the labels, 10%  goes towards a charity close to Heidi & Co’s heart called NATSIRT. This knot bangle (also featured in my photo) has become one of my fave pieces because it is so simple but it is also effective and I am just OBSESSED with it. I didn’t wear it for one day and I almost felt lost without it It is really easy to wear with any outfit too.
Because I am a brand ambassador, I have a sneaky little discount code for you all to use when you buy something from Heidi&Co which you can use on Libby May products and you will get an amazing 15% off. The code is BLOG15 and you can also find it in the side bar.
With regards to earrings and necklaces, I am not a big fan of them. I will wear a necklace occasionally to jazz up my outfit if I think it looks a little dull, but I always forget to put one on normally. I tend not to change my earrings very often unless they need a clean – I know also EW – but I just also forget. However I have been trying to wear hooped earrings. I keep seeing on Zoella’s vlogs that she and Poppy wear large hoop earrings so much and they just look super trendy, so I got myself some of all different sizes and when I remember I just pop them in. I prefer the mid length size as they are noticeable but don’t pull your ear lobes down to the floor!!
