My Handbag ESSENTIALS!

I was very tempted to call my blog post ‘What’s In My Bag’ however I have done one of those before and it was one of my first blog posts *QUEUE IMAGINARY WHOOSH AND BLURRED PHOTO INTRO* – I know how cringe. Also in reality I have more than one handbag with a mix of items in it. I don’t even want to know what is in the bottom of some of them… Handbags are defo a place where just a load of utter crap accumulates and you go back and empty it out and say to yourself either ‘What the hell is that doing in there?’ or ‘OMG I have been looking for this!’. So instead of having a nose through what is in a handbag of mine, I thought I would chat about what I think is absolutely essential to keep in any handbag!

P.S my go to handbag and the one featured in this photo is the << REMY D-Ring PU Cross Body Bag >> which you can find here.

Firstly I always keep a hand cream of some sort in my bag because in the UK the weather is getting colder, and this will just make hands more susceptible to becoming dry. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes I find using hand cream a FAFF because you have to put it on and wait for it to dry before you do anything else because it makes your hands greasy. However recently, a brand called << Balade en Provence >> sent me two hand creams to try out and literally I am obsessed and don’t go anywhere without at least one of them. As you can see in the photo below, they are ever so cutely shaped like an apple and pear and prepare yourself for this… THEY SMELL EXACTLY LIKE APPLES AND PEARS. They are actually really refreshing and aren’t greasy, in fact quite light on the skin and the smell lasts ages! The packaging for the pear is slightly more realistic than the apple, but they are not too big and not too small.

Of course, I have to carry around some makeup essentials with me because I don’t want to get to somewhere and look A MESS, so the main makeup bits and bobs I keep in my bag is a powder of some sort and a lippy. My go to lippy at the moment is << Mac’s Satin Lipstick in Retro >>. I think this is a gorgeous shade for the month of September because its autumnal but not too harsh like the classic berry lips for fall. I think its a could in between shade ~~ If Yah Get Me. I also have to had a powder in my bag, just in case I get a little shiny, and I take any old powder that I have to hand at that moment in time, in this case it is the << Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Pressed Powder in Soft Sand >>.

Also making an appearance in my bag when it is needed is nail polish. If I am wearing nail polish I will carry it around with my because I hate when my nail varnish chips because then I get the urge to keep peeling it off… Which is SOOOOO bad for your nails! In my bag I found this << CHANEL LE VERNIS Nail Polish in 516 Mariniere >> and a nail vile in case of an broken nails. When someone asks ‘Have you got a nail vile’ you won’t need to disappoint!

Finally, my last essential is defo important for all bloggers to have with them, is a notebook. Being a blogger, you can get blog post ideas at the most random times ever, and even though you say to yourself ‘I will remember that’ you won’t. Trust me, you won’t unless you have super memory. Sophia contacted me through The Blogger Programme, and offered to send me some notebooks! I was super excited because I have filled up my other notebooks with to-do lists and random notes and I loved the design. And don’t they match the hand creams perfectly?! The red one comes with lines in which is perfect for lists – where as the green one is blank so great for quickly jotting down any random notes or blog post brain storms! Find Sophia’s shop *here*.
