AHHHHHHH! HOW ON EARTH IS IT NOVEMBER?! SERIOUSLY?! The fact that my birthday and Christmas is next month is actually scary… Where has this year gone? I almost feel as if I have missed halloween. With it now being November, it means autumn is coming to an end, which actually makes me super sad as we all know it is my fave season of the year. And the fact I am now doing my October faves (shock I know I actually remembered) is mental. FYI this post is really chatty so prepare for a good natter!
As I have been trying to save my money lately I haven’t tried too many things which are new, but then I have been using some older items lately which I now can’t put down, so I will talk about them too.
But firstly, something that is new to my makeup collection is the << Revlon PhotoReady Powder >>. I had previously been using my what-I-thought-was a trusty powder by Rimmel, but I was really disappointed in it this time, and I didn’t even finish it but I had to get a new one. I wanted to try this Revlon one because I saw that Zoella had recommended it in one of her videos.  I actually struggled to find a drug store and relatively cheap powder that people raved about, as most powders people love are pricier. This Revlon one was a little bit more expensive than some drug store powders, at £11.29. It is SOO long-lasting though!! I can’t get over how I don’t have to reapply it during the day. It does have a very heavy coverage, and I accidentally went overload on the first time I used it and I looked V cakey, however it gives such an even finish. It is a matte powder and I used it when I did my latest photo shoot and it gives flawless results. Good byeeeeee blemishes in photos!
Since I have been using my new powder I decided to change brushes. Originally I was using a large fluffy brush to apply my powder, but I have switched back to the << Real Technique Buffing Brush – part of the Core Collection >> I have a few of these brushes as I have received the Core Collection a few times as presents etc… So I have used the brush before. Especially for my new powder, I love how compact it is, because it means I don’t waste as much product as before. It maximizes the amount of product you use, and it can give a heavy base, so if that’s what you like then give the brush a go. You can’t go wrong with a bit of Real Techniques.
The mascara I have been using recently is the << Clinique High Impact Mascara in Black >>. I have the ever so cute travel size bottle of this, but I just think it is an all round good mascara. It does its job well, and it very natural and not clumpy. For school I don’t like clumpy lashes, personally, and this mascara is good at elongating your lashes. A big thing for me about mascaras is how well they come off when you take your makeup. I have tried some mascaras which take FOREVA to get off your lashes and then you feel like you have no lashes yet… Luckily this one is not like it.
Finally in this incredibly chatty faves *SOZ* is the << 3INA The Eyebrow Kit 402 >>. They sent me this back in summer and I am so thankful that they did. This eyebrow palette is my go to when I want awesome, natural looking brows that last all day. I have been trying to make my brows look more natural because I do have tendency to make them quite dark, and this has done the job!
What have you been loving in October?
