My Christmas Day Makeup

I have a plan! YES. For once I legit have a plan for something…. It might be only what I am going for Christmas day makeup wise but still! I have a lot of makeup, and a lot of eyeshadow, but I never wear it that often as I don’t wear it to work or college. However Christmas day is the day I go CRAZY — Ain’t no holding me back. I get all my fancy makeup out take my time and make myself look festively presentable.

So I will be starting my Christmas day makeup look off this year not using primer… Controversial yes I know BUTIHAVENONELEFT. I need to get some more but I haven’t had time too okay?!? So I am going to go straight in with my << The Ordinary Coverage Foundation >> which is my fave foundation of 2017 because it is matte, has a lovely coverage and just looks so flawless on the skin.

I am then going to conceal all those blemishes – which I don’t actually have a lot of because I have been blessed by the skin gods at the moment. The concealer I will use is my regular << Fit Me Concealer by Maybelline >>. It is quite dark – but because I have olivey skin it covers my dark circles perfectly. I will then just add a touch of powder to finish and set the bases.

Eyebrows wise I am using the << 3ina Eyebrow Kit >> which you must excuse because in the photo it is very messy ~ can you tell I use it everyday?? It is natural and gives an eyebrow look that isn’t too clumpy or fake… if you get me? I am then going to crack on with the eye look using my new babyyyyy the << Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette >> and I can’t even begin to describe how gorrrrrgeeeeous this palette is. All the colours feel like the were MADE for ME. Obvs not hahaha but colours that suit me the best are autumnal colours, so this palette covers it nicely. So I think the plan is to go all out and start by blending Sauced into the crease which is a soft matte brown as a transition shade – and then go over it with the slightly darker Low Blow. Then Scorched will go through my crease and then the darkest shade Ember will go on the very outer corner. Finally I will sweep Lumbre across my lid and put Ounce (the lightest highlighting shade) in the inner corner to make it POP.

Because the eye look is already quite busy, I won’t put eyeliner on but of course I will apply the << Clinique High Impact Mascara >> because it looks super natural and makes me have that false lash effect. I might also put a dusting of my << Mac Bronzing Powder >> on my cheeks but it depends how orangey my foundation and concealer is. This is the bronzer I use if I want something not too powerful as it is nice and subtle.

Nothing would beat a bit of << Jeffree Star x Manny MUA Skin Frost Eclipse Highlighter >> on the cheek bones as this really shimmers well under the light – and I feel like the colour is a bit festive as it is more of a blue/silver toned highlighters

Finally I am going to use my brand new Mac Mini Lipstick in the shade Tease Maker which is from the << Snow Ball Mini Lipstick Kit in Pink >>. My Mum’s cousin got my this for my 18th (thank youuuu) and it came with three mini lipsticks in STUNNING shades, and I am going to use this frosted nude because it has a little shimmer to match my highlighter and it will leave the eyes to be the main feature whilst adding a bit more sparkle.

What makeup are you planning to wear on Christmas day?! It’s nearly here!!

  1. I’ve been interested in the Ordinary foundation for a while now, how did you find the perfect shade when it’s only sold online? Also I’ve heard mixed reviews about the Manny x JSC highlight, how do you find it? Great post x
