I have been so BUSY the last week – at least it feels like it – and I have been oblivious that it is now march which means my monthly faves (coming soon…) and all that reflection jazzzzzz. I am not going to lie I have been feeling a little bit moody and down lately, I blame a mixture of hormones and the fact that the snow has all melted away, so I thought I would do a ‘What Made Me Happy’ post to brighten my mood! I’m not going to lie though I loved February though, a lot of good things happened and after the 999 days in January it was really refreshing…. If you get me. I recommend grabbing a cuppa, or hot choc and relaxing as this will be a long ol’ post!
I Discovered Boston Tea Party
I had been to Boston Tea Party before, however I never really appreciated the vibes and everything about it, obviously I liked it, but I didn’t spend too much time there. I went at the beginning at the month with my lovely boyfriend and we had a drink and shared some sweet potato fritters and we both really liked it. It is also one of the most photogenic cafes ever. We then went on a double date with our friends there which was nice too as we sat upstairs and helped my friend Rhiannon film her coursework #IFEELLIKEASTAR.
I Went Out Clubbing For The First Time
Considering I turned 18 in December, I was yet to go out clubbing, because not all my friends are 18 yet, and because I felt some sort of anxiety over it. However I did it, and went out with my boyfriend and his friends and I really enjoyed it. We only stayed out until about 2:30 (most of you are probably going ONLY?!) as we didn’t get food afterwards but I really enjoyed dressing up a bit, having a few bevvies and letting my hair down! There was one room in a nightclub called Pryzm we went in which had all the classic good disco songs on, even Hannah Montana came on!
Made Closer Friends
One thing that makes me really happy is obviously making new friends and becoming closer with them because its nice to have someone to got to or to hang out with to have a good time. I have become closer friends with two people specifically, James and Rhiannon, who were introduced to me by my boyfriend a while ago, but as a four we had done quite a few things together in February and they were all really fun.
This was the first Valentines Day me and my boyfriend had celebrated with each other and I loved it. We didn’t get each other any big gifts, I got him a card, and he got me my beautiful tulips, and we paid for each others meal. Instead of going out in the evening, we went to Bills for breakfast which was super yummy, and even though I ate my weight in bacon and pancakes that day I thoroughly enjoyed it! We went for a snoop around the shops too and of course I had to buy myself some Lush Valentines bits!
As you all know from my constant spam on my blog and Instagram it snowed at the very end of last month! We N-E-V-E-R get snow… I REPEAT NEVER GET SNOW. If we do it is like a tiny flurry that never settles, but this was like a blizzard. I am not even joking, we had heavy snow and very strong winds, so it was enjoyable at the start but then it started piling up and you just couldn’t really get anywhere. We did lots of sledding though, and numerous snowballs fights and me and my friend Georgie even attempted to build a snowman!
What made you happy in February?!
