‘My wardrobe is full of coats that are years old, which I can still wear because the fashion industry is circular.’
We all know my wardrobe is mostly filled with coats and whenever I come home with a new one my mum does the typical *sigh* followed by the “You really don’t need a new coat” look. But I see coats as an investment because they are those bits in your closet which you know you can bring out every year. My wardrobe is full of coats that are years old, which I can still wear because the fashion industry is circular.
In my eyes, coats will always be trendy – whatever they look like (unless they are proper long rain Macs with matching waterproof legging ~ I’m not about that life personally). Also living in England means coats aren’t just for one or two months because let’s be honest, the weather is pretty crap all year around! But being a student means I HATE and plus am not able to spend fortunes upon fortunes on clothing so when I find a right bargain I am getting it!!
‘I have seen people wearing them before and the whole camel coat and hoodie combo = dreammmmm outfit.’
And that’s what I was like when I found this beauty of a coat. Throughout autumn, and when all the coats started appearing in the shops, I kept spying different camel coats. I have seen people wearing them before and the whole camel coat and hoodie combo = dreammmmm outfit. A lot of the shops did them and I was a bit like ‘do I or don’t I’ and I DID.
The coat which I got was the << H&M Straight-cut coat >>and obviously in the ever so popular beige. I love how simple it was, no fussy belts or cuffs or buttons – none of that jazz. Coats like that are stunning but I wanted something plain so I could wear it with more things. And also I went into the store to see it before I ordered it and it was so soft… LIKE SO SOFT. It isn’t a thick coat either so I can pack the layers on underneath. Layers in winter are my fave!!
Combined with my Topshop Ciara Trainers and some leggings this coat is my go-to.
I also just want to mention my new trainer from Topshop which are Ciara trainers. I bought them at the beginning of this week because I was like THEY WILL SELL OUT SO QUICK ON BLACK FRIDAY, then the day after they got reduced…. so OKAY. But it was worth it because these trainers are beauties! Complete and utter dupes for the Balenciaga trainers all the bloggers seem to be wearing (yep those £600 ones I can’t afford). I lovelovelove them and I will be wearing them so much guaranteed!
I would love to know if you have a camel coat in your wardrobe or what you favourite coat you have been wearing this autumn is!!
